At RAWECO Fishing Farm we use a three-year carp production cycle. We start our cycle from planting and diluting the density of hatching in ponds called transpositions. The fish stay there from 3,5 to 4 weeks and are fed mainly with zooplankton - natural food. After this time, they move from the larval stage to the fry stage and are placed in ponds called transpositions II.
After a year of feeding with cereal middlings, it reaches a weight of 30 - 50g. We feed the fish according to the estimate of nutrition and the degree of eating the food. We carry out control halves, check temperature and control the amount of oxygen dissolved in the water. We fill the fish ponds with fry at the beginning of April.
In the second year of production, due to the higher weight of fish, we slowly get used to crushed grain, which is characterized by better nutrient content. At the end of the season, the steps of the carp reach an average weight of 200-300g. In spring, in the third year of fish farming, the steps are planted in the largest ponds known as commodity ponds. At the end of the season, fish reach a commercial weight of 1200 -2000g and are intended for sale.
In the polyculture with carp, we also carry out the fish farming of: amur (grass carp), pike, tench, silver carp and crucian carp.
