We cultivate 700 hectares
We cultivate on 700 hectares, most of which are located in the NATURA 2000 areas, away from urban agglomerations and heavily intensified farms. In the heart of the deep Bieszczady Mountains and on the very fertile soils of the Jarosław district.
We cultivate meadows and fields by using modern, environmentally friendly machines. Our interference in natural vegetation is minimal, we try to limit it mainly to mowing and harvesting plant fetuses. We do not use fertilization in the production of meadow hay. Our hay is one hundred percent ecological product. In addition, we saw high-protein crops in the meadows to enrich and thus preserve the best nutritional values for animals.
Hay is a traditional roughage in our country, which is the main nutrient in the diet of many animals. That is why we care about its best quality.
On our meadows there grow grass and plant species with the best properties in the production of organic hay, such as e.g. perennial ryegrass, cock's-foot, meadow fescue and red fescue, as well as small-seeded butterfly plants like clovers.
The mowing begins in mid-June during the flowering of grasses and we limit ourselves to one swath due to the agri-environment-climate commitments of the RDP Rural Development Program for 2014-2020. We choose a date with a high probability of long-term nice weather, when the grass is mowed and then dried on the ground (on swaths) naturally in the rays of the sun.
The way and the conditions in which our hay is harvested allow us to obtain its unique features such as a pleasant aromatic smell, fresh appearance, resilience, elastic not straw look of the stems, papilionaceous plants and herbs. For animals it is characterized by very easy and healthy digestibility, provides a large amount of protein, vitamins and mineral salts, it is a main source of macro and micro elements.
We have certificates classifying our farm and products as organic.
